Support For Aged And Needy Holocaust Rescuers
Holocaust Education Programs

Our Story

During the Holocaust, countless non-Jews risked their lives to save Jews from persecution. In 1986, Rabbi Harold M. Schulweis founded The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR) to honor these brave individuals, known as Righteous Gentiles. Starting with just eight rescuers, the foundation has grown to support 1,800, although this number is dwindling as these heroes age.

Impact

The JFR provides essential financial support to aged and needy non-Jews who rescued Jews during the Holocaust, while also preserving their legacy through a national education program. This initiative not only impacts the lives of the rescuers but also educates future generations about the Holocaust.

Why Donate?

Your contributions to the JFR help ensure that the remaining Righteous Gentiles receive the assistance they need in their twilight years. Donations also fund educational programs that instill the importance of courage and compassion in future generations.
