Our Story

Founded in the early 1990s by Dr. Richard Hawkins and Dr. Richard Steadman, the Hawkins Foundation has evolved from the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, into a leading force in orthopaedic education and research. With a commitment to training the next generation of physicians and therapists, the foundation has established a prestigious fellowship program and expanded its reach to clinics in Denver and South Carolina. In 2016, the foundation was renamed to honor Dr. Hawkins' legacy, continuing its mission to advance orthopaedic medicine.

Impact

Since its inception, the Hawkins Foundation has trained 225 physicians worldwide and published 162 research papers, significantly contributing to the field of orthopaedics.
