The Guardsmen

Our Story

Founded in 1947 by a group of dedicated young professionals in San Francisco, The Guardsmen was established to uplift disadvantaged children in the Bay Area. Recognizing their privilege, they initiated fundraising events to support local charities focused on athletics and outdoor activities. Over the years, The Guardsmen developed the Campership Program, sending at-risk youth to enriching summer camps, and the Scholarship Program, providing educational opportunities for those in need.

Impact

Each year, The Guardsmen empowers over 2,500 youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through outdoor programs and awards scholarships to more than 250 students, enhancing their leadership, communication skills, and self-confidence.
