Good Tidings Foundation

Our Story

Good Tidings Foundation was founded in 1995 by Larry Harper, a Professional Baseball Scout, who was inspired to make a difference after the cancellation of the 1994 World Series. Disturbed by the impact of money on youth sports, Harper collaborated with Hall of Fame Broadcaster Vin Scully to create a book, with proceeds benefiting youth charities. This initiative sparked the creation of the Good Tidings Foundation, which has since transformed the lives of countless children.

Impact

With over 200 athletic facilities, art studios, music studios, and more built for marginalized children, the Good Tidings Foundation has awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships and provided grants to young black entrepreneurs. The foundation is dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
