The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori

Our Story

Founded by Dan Teller, a visionary in the Montessori community, The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori (GSCM) began its journey in 1997. After a series of community meetings revealed a strong desire for an affordable Catholic Montessori education, a dedicated group of parents and educators formed a Board of Directors. Within a year, they successfully raised $100,000 to launch the program. In August 1998, GSCM opened its doors in Newtown, Ohio, with just 28 preschool and kindergarten students. Today, GSCM proudly serves 200 students from preschool through eighth grade, having expanded one grade level each year.
