Our Story

Founded in 1991 by Dr. Tony Vang, The Fresno Center emerged to support Southeast Asian refugees, including Hmong, Cambodian, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese communities. Over three decades, the organization has expanded its services to promote self-sufficiency and empowerment for diverse populations in Fresno County.

Our Impact

From a small team of three to a dedicated staff of 130, The Fresno Center has successfully implemented over 20 programs. These initiatives provide vital services such as mental health support, food security, and emergency response, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
