Fort Mill Community Playhouse

Our Story

In 1980, a group of passionate individuals from Fort Mill, led by Robert Reid, was inspired to bring theater to their community after witnessing a play during a vacation. With the help of Steve McCrae and many others, the first production, "Spring for Sure," was staged under a circus tent at the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex. The overwhelming enthusiasm from the community led to the establishment of the Fort Mill Community Playhouse, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality entertainment and fostering a love for the performing arts.
