Our Story

Just weeks after his seventh birthday, Emmanuel Vizzoni was diagnosed with cancer. His parents alternated shifts at the hospital while their son endured grueling medical treatments. In 1983, in Emmanuel’s memory, the Vizzoni family established the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation to assist other families experiencing hardships similar to those they endured during their son’s battle with cancer.

Impact

For over 40 years, the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation has provided free assistance to over 2,000 families in need across New Jersey. Caseworkers logged 3,946 hours of home visits, counseling, and advocacy at no cost to families. Regional Centers provided $118,631 in food and material assistance and almost $70,000 in emergency financial aid. Volunteers delivered 2,166 bags of groceries and fulfilled 334 holiday gift wishes for ECF kids and their siblings.
