About Safe Shores
Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center is dedicated to supporting child victims of sexual and physical abuse in Washington, D.C. Through a child-friendly facility and a multidisciplinary team approach, Safe Shores coordinates the efforts of medical and mental health providers, social services professionals, victim advocates, law enforcement, and prosecution officials to reduce trauma and promote healing.
Impact in the Community
In the past year, Safe Shores served 1,018 children and adolescents, delivering 946 therapy sessions and providing emergency crisis funds to 116 families, showcasing the profound impact of community support.
