The Corliss Center was founded in 1982 by June Rockefeller, who sought a nurturing environment for her deaf daughter. With the support of Dr. Peter Blackwell and a dedicated team, the center has become a beacon of hope for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in Rhode Island, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
