Our Story

The Concord Baptist Church Housing and Economic Development Corporation (CBCHEDC) was established in 1986 as a community-focused nonprofit organization. Operating under the auspices of The Concord Baptist Church of Boston, CBCHEDC is dedicated to providing affordable and safe housing for families in Greater Boston, particularly in the neighborhoods of Roxbury, Mattapan, and Dorchester. With a commitment to community development, CBCHEDC has successfully partnered in the development of over 130 housing units in lower Roxbury and is expanding its initiatives to include small business loans and mixed-use affordable housing for the elderly and disabled.

Impact

These include counseling families on affordable housing options, maintaining a rental property portfolio, and empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs. The organization also provides no-cost home repairs for the elderly and handicapped, ensuring that everyone has access to safe living conditions.
