Our Story

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) was founded in 1988 by a diverse group of visionaries, including lawyers, scientists, and community members, who recognized the urgent need to address coastal land loss in Louisiana. Over the years, CRCL has transformed from a small policy organization into a multifaceted nonprofit dedicated to coastal restoration, advocacy, and education.

Impact

CRCL has played a pivotal role in raising awareness about coastal land loss and advocating for restoration efforts. The organization has facilitated numerous projects, including the Native Plants Program and the Oyster Shell Recycling Program, contributing to the sustainability of Louisiana's coastal wetlands.

Why Donate?
