The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation was founded in 1993 by Maria D’Angelo after witnessing the struggles of homeless families in Central Los Angeles. Initially focused on providing medical care and organizing field trips, the foundation has since expanded its reach to serve at-risk youth and homeless families through various initiatives, including outdoor education and scholarships.
Since its inception, the CLF has positively impacted over 95,000 individuals, providing essential services such as 125 college scholarships and over $130,000 in direct financial aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization has successfully moved 50 families into new homes and distributed millions in in-kind goods to those in need.
