About The Carter Burden Network
Established in 1971 by New York City Council Member Carter Burden, this nonprofit organization has evolved from a small initiative into a comprehensive agency serving approximately 6,000 older adults annually across Manhattan. With 11 programs in 7 locations, including significant outreach in East Harlem and Roosevelt Island, the Carter Burden Network is dedicated to enhancing the lives of older residents.
