The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund was established in the wake of the tragic loss of 658 employees during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Founded on September 14, 2001, with a generous $1 million donation from CEO Howard W. Lutnick, the fund has since raised and distributed approximately $300 million to support families affected by emergencies, natural disasters, and acts of terrorism.
