Our Story
The Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) was founded in 2006 with a mission to protect the Colorado and Mojave Desert ecosystems. Through a comprehensive conservation strategy, MDLT focuses on land acquisition, restoration, stewardship, and education to preserve California's unique desert landscapes.
Impact
In 2023, MDLT has permanently protected 6,385 acres of vital habitat, cleared tons of trash, and engaged nearly 1,000 young people through educational programs. The organization has also cultivated over 15,000 native plants for restoration projects, demonstrating a strong commitment to biodiversity.
