The CABET Group: A Legacy of Empowerment

Emerging from the turmoil of the 1968 Chicago riots, The CABET Group was established in 1972 to bridge the gap between the community's need for employment and the opportunities offered by corporate Chicago. Founded by prominent business leaders, this organization began as a small team dedicated to diversifying the workforce of over twenty-five local corporations.

In its early years, The CABET Group successfully assisted over one hundred clients in securing employment, laying the groundwork for a significant public-private partnership with the City of Chicago in 1973. This partnership aimed to enhance employment opportunities for minority residents, leading to an eight-fold expansion of operations.

Throughout the years, The CABET Group has navigated numerous challenges, evolving from a multi-million dollar organization closely tied to public missions to an independent consultant entity. Today, it continues to adapt its vision and mission to meet the changing demands of the workforce landscape.

Impacting Lives and Businesses

With a commitment to workforce development, The CABET Group has empowered over 35,000 individuals to achieve their career goals. Additionally, more than 5,000 businesses have benefited from significant savings in recruitment costs, thanks to the organization's effective services.
