On a crisp November morning over two decades ago, a group of dedicated volunteers gathered to serve breakfast to the homeless under the 7th Avenue bridge in downtown Arizona. This pivotal moment ignited a passion for change in the heart of Christine Ellis, the founder of The Bridge for Community Services. Witnessing the stark reality of poverty and homelessness in such a prominent city was a life-altering experience. It became clear that action was necessary, and thus began a journey of compassion and service.

Today, The Bridge operates at 1118 W. Madison Street, the NE corner of 12th Avenue and Madison Street, where every Sunday at 6:30 AM, volunteers gather to provide sustenance and comfort to those in need. Over the past 18 years, this unwavering commitment has resulted in feeding more than 500,000 individuals, showcasing the profound impact of community support.
