Our Story

Founded in 1978, Breakthrough Collaborative has become a national leader in educational equity. By connecting college students with middle and high school students across 25 cities, the organization addresses educational inequities and supports students on their path to college.

Impact

Breakthrough students are 50% more likely to enroll in a four-year college compared to their peers, with graduation rates on par with high-income students. Over 40,000 participants have benefited from the program, many now pursuing careers in education.
