About The Blue Door Theatre

Founded in 1996, The Blue Door Theatre began as Unexpected Productions: Spokane, showcasing the art of improvisation every Friday night. After years of performing in various venues, the company found its home in downtown Spokane, officially becoming The Blue Door Theatre with the help of Jason and Harmony Frederick. The theatre, named for its iconic blue front door, has been a 501c(3) certified non-profit arts organization since its inception. In January 2023, the BDT expanded its offerings by opening the Spokane School of Improv, further enriching the local arts scene.
