Our Story

The Bloc Chicago was founded in 2016 by Jamyle Cannon, who combined his passion for youth development, boxing, and education to create a nonprofit that serves youth on Chicago's West Side. The organization aims to attract youth who are least likely to join traditional mentoring and tutoring programs, providing them with a supportive environment that fosters personal and academic growth through boxing and mentorship.

Impact

The organization has successfully transformed the lives of many youth by providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed academically and personally.
