Our Story
The Bleeding Disorder Foundation of Washington, established in 1999, has its roots in the 1970s when parents gathered at Camp I-Vy to support their children. The organization has faced unimaginable challenges, particularly during the 1980s when tainted blood products devastated the bleeding disorder community, leading to the loss of many lives. Today, BDFW stands as the leading advocacy and support organization for individuals living with bleeding disorders in Washington State, launching a national research fund and providing essential educational programs.
