The Beyond Project

Our Story

The Beyond Project was founded in 2015 in Seattle, WA, after the tragic loss of Rachel Hile's 2-year-old nephew, Matthew. Rachel, a licensed cosmetologist, sought ways to volunteer her skills and ultimately launched The Beyond Project to create pathways for beauty and wellness professionals to give back. After years of growth and fundraising, Rachel became the Executive Director and relocated the organization to Los Angeles to harness support from the beauty and entertainment industry.

Our Impact

Since its inception, The Beyond Project has empowered over 9,200 lives, provided 10,750 services, and distributed $854,000 worth of in-kind products. The organization has partnered with 73 nonprofits and mobilized 2,440 volunteers, showcasing its significant social impact.
