The Bainbridge Recovery Club was founded in 2008 by local resident Rick Ward, inspired by his own journey through Alcoholics Anonymous. This club serves as a sanctuary for healing and camaraderie, providing a welcoming space for meetings and fellowship. With the support of nine dedicated AA leaders, the BRC has grown to host 26 meetings weekly, becoming a lifeline for those battling addiction.
As of 2024, the BRC hosts 26 meetings with a combined attendance of about 600 people each week. Hundreds have found recovery here, forming lifelong friendships and significantly transforming their lives and the surrounding community.
The BRC relies on donations to operate, as there are no fees required to attend meetings. Contributions are tax-deductible, and donors receive a receipt for their contributions, which can be used for tax purposes. Supporting the BRC helps maintain a vital resource for individuals seeking recovery from addiction.
