Our Story

The Arc of Ventura County was founded in 1954 by dedicated parents and educators committed to advocating for the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Over the years, the organization has evolved, adopting its current name in 2008, while remaining steadfast in its mission to empower individuals through person-centered services.

Impact

Currently, The Arc serves over 700 individuals, facilitating their integration into the community and promoting independence. Through various programs, individuals are supported in leading self-determined lives, enhancing their participation in everyday settings.
