Our Story

Founded in 1984, Global Ties ABQ, originally known as the Albuquerque Council for International Visitors, began as a volunteer group of citizen diplomats. In 2014, it became part of the Global Ties U.S. network, enhancing its mission to build a global community in Albuquerque by welcoming visiting professionals from around the world.

Each year, Global Ties ABQ brings over 400 emerging leaders to Albuquerque, facilitating professional exchange programs that connect diverse cultures and foster global understanding.
