Our Story
The Abana Foundation was inspired by a fifteen-year-old girl named Kate, who, after a transformative trip to Rwanda, initiated a fundraising effort for a water system in Kibeho. This grassroots movement blossomed into a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children in the U.S. to support their peers in Rwanda through various fundraising activities. Over the years, the foundation has expanded its mission to include a medical center, scholarship programs, and a children's academy, all aimed at improving the lives of children in Kibeho.
