Our Story

Founded in 1963 by Danish entertainer Victor Borge and New York attorney Richard Netter, Thanks To Scandinavia honors the extraordinary acts of courage performed by ordinary people during WWII. This organization provides scholarships for graduate students from Scandinavia and Bulgaria, ensuring that the inspiring stories of those who demonstrated bravery and compassion are kept alive.
