Our Story
Founded in 2013, the Samakkee Summit began as a pivotal conference in Washington, D.C., uniting Thai and Thai American community members to address pressing social issues. Over the years, the Summits have traveled across the United States, hosted by local organizations in cities like Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. This initiative has fostered community development, engagement, and advocacy for immigration reform, with ongoing support from the Royal Thai Embassy and regional Consulate-Generals.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Samakkee Summit adapted by hosting virtual events, ensuring continued dialogue and support for the community. As the world reopened, the Summit returned to Los Angeles and is gearing up for a grand celebration of its 10th anniversary in San Francisco.
