Founded in December 2001, Texas Parent to Parent (TxP2P) emerged from the dedication of parents and professionals committed to supporting families of children with disabilities. With its first Board meeting in January 2002 and IRS 501(c)(3) designation achieved by March, TxP2P began its journey by serving 128 families in its inaugural year. Today, TxP2P has expanded its reach, providing invaluable resources and support to over 9,000 families across Texas.
TxP2P facilitates numerous trainings and workshops for parents and professionals, moderates over 10 online listservs, and hosts the only statewide conference dedicated to parents of children and adults with disabilities. This commitment to education and advocacy has made a significant difference in the lives of countless families.
