Our Story

In 1992, the Texas Board of Health established 22 trauma service areas, leading to the formation of regional advisory councils. These councils, composed of dedicated volunteers from various medical professions, work tirelessly to implement a comprehensive trauma system across Texas. Their mission is to reduce trauma incidents, preventable deaths, and the severity of trauma-related disabilities, ensuring that trauma victims receive the best possible care.

Impact

The Texas J Regional Advisory Council is committed to enhancing trauma care through education, data collection, and performance improvement, ultimately improving outcomes for trauma patients throughout the region.
