The Texas Beef Initiative was founded in October 2020 by cattlemen Noel McAlexander and Dave Sissler. This organization is dedicated to connecting food-insecure communities in Central Texas with high-quality ground beef through a network of partner food banks and charitable organizations. By raising awareness of food insecurity within cattle communities, TBI transforms underutilized cattle into nutritious meals for those in need.
To date, TBI has donated over 375,000 meals and is on track to provide an additional 150,000 meals in 2024. This initiative not only addresses hunger but also supports local ranchers and cattle producers.
