Our Story
The Texas Association of College and University Auditors (TACUA) was established to provide a professional network and support system for auditors working in Texas higher education institutions. Founded by internal auditors from universities and colleges across the state, TACUA fosters collaboration, shares best practices, and enhances the professional development of auditors. Over the years, TACUA has expanded its reach to include auditors from both public and private institutions, playing a key role in promoting the importance of internal controls, compliance, and transparency within Texas’ academic institutions.
