Our Story
Founded in 2017 by Lisa Knapp, The Austin 20 emerged in response to the critical issue of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) in Austin and central Texas. The organization began with a successful fundraising luncheon that raised $165,000 for a nonprofit dedicated to supporting DMST victims. Over the years, The Austin 20 has evolved into a legal entity and established Nicole's Place, a safe haven for survivors of DMST.
Impact
Since its inception, The Austin 20 has made a significant impact by raising funds to support victims of DMST. Nicole's Place provides a safe and healing environment for girls who have survived trafficking, while the organization actively supports legislation and initiatives aimed at combating sex trafficking in Texas.
