Our Story

Founded in 1963 by Harold and Helen Cox, Tennessee Prison Outreach Ministry began as a volunteer effort in the Nashville jail. In 1984, Ron Goodman joined the mission, leading to the establishment of a church-based ministry under the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. By 2013, TPOM evolved into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, now directed by Dr. Thomas Snow. With over 500 dedicated volunteers, TPOM operates a full-service Reentry Center and two transitional homes for men and women in Nashville, along with a men’s transitional home in Memphis.

Impact

Over the past 60 years, TPOM has reunited families, repaired communities, and restored faith for thousands within the Tennessee criminal justice system. Graduates of our programs have successfully rebuilt their lives, showcasing the transformative power of support and guidance.
