Our Story

Founded in 1986, Teen Lifeline emerged from a national dialogue on teen suicide, catalyzed by the film 'Surviving.' Initially a school-based initiative, it has expanded its reach across Arizona, providing a peer-to-peer crisis hotline and educational programs aimed at preventing teen suicide and promoting resilience among youth.

Impact

In 2023, Teen Lifeline answered nearly 48,000 calls and texts from teens in crisis. An impressive 97% of hotline callers reported feeling better immediately after speaking with a peer counselor, showcasing the effectiveness of its programs.
