Our Story
In 1998, leaders from the Scranton and Wilkes Barre Chambers engaged the Battelle Institute for a strategic evaluation of the region, leading to the formation of the Great Valley Technology Alliance in 1999. This initiative aimed to promote technology-based economic development in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In 2004, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Technology Institute was established to support intellectual property development. In 2012, these two organizations merged and rebranded as tecBRIDGE, focusing on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
