EIN: 88-3340447 · Tecate, CA
Our Story
Tecate Horse Rescue was founded by Mike and DJ Osborne, along with DJ's mother Jean, after rescuing a two-year-old filly named Brandy from the brink of slaughter. Located on 99.8 acres in east San Diego County, this organization is dedicated to rehabilitating at-risk horses, mules, donkeys, and ponies.
Impact
In 2023, Tecate Horse Rescue facilitated 41 adoptions and raised over $19,000 through generous donations, including a $2,500 matching grant from the David C. Copley Foundation. The organization continues to provide a safe haven for equines in need.
