Our Story

In 2001, Perry Rosenstein gathered a diverse group of environmentalists, artists, and educators to rescue a neglected parcel of land in Teaneck. Once a dumping ground for construction debris, this area has transformed into Teaneck Creek Park, thanks to the dedication of community leaders and the Bergen County Parks Department. After years of hard work, the park now features over 1.3 miles of groomed trails, an Outdoor Classroom, and unique ecological art exhibits, creating a vibrant oasis for all.

Our Impact

Teaneck Creek Park recently reopened following a successful 2-year, 20-acre habitat restoration project. This initiative has revitalized the Teaneck Creek Watershed, transforming what was once destined to be a dump into some of the newest freshwater wetlands in New Jersey.
