Our Story

Founded in 2009, Team Velvet is dedicated to providing non-mounted equine therapy to children aged 5-12 who have experienced trauma or loss. Based in Flemington, NJ, at Journeys End Farm, therapy is facilitated by licensed psychologists and a small herd of therapy horses.

Impact

Team Velvet has successfully provided free mental health therapy to numerous children facing severe trauma, including loss of loved ones, violence, and bullying. The organization has treated 40 families and continues to expand its services to meet the needs of vulnerable children.
