Our Story

The Teaching Kitchen Collaborative (TKC) was established in 2016 by leaders from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Culinary Institute of America. This initiative aims to unite advocates for teaching kitchens as a vital public health intervention. In 2020, TKC became an independent 501c3 organization, expanding into a global network dedicated to sharing best practices and generating evidence to support the growth of teaching kitchens.

Our Impact

Dedicated to enhancing personal and public health, TKC operates teaching kitchens that serve as laboratories for essential life skills. With a network of over 65 organizations and 200 professionals, TKC promotes culinary medicine and nutrition education, striving to catalyze behavior change and improve health outcomes.
