Our Story
Taylor Manor was established to care for sick and elderly residents, embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ through love and respect for each individual. Since its inception in January 1951 by the Daughters of Saint Rita, Taylor Manor has grown to meet the needs of the community. The current facility, built in 1959, has been a sanctuary for those in need of long-term care. In 1977, the Sisters of St. Joseph the Worker took over operations, ensuring that Taylor Manor remains the Diocese of Lexington’s only Catholic long-term nursing facility.
