The Story of Tavon Learning Center
The Tavon Learning Center was founded 41 years ago, inspired by the journey of a family whose daughter, Sabah, was born with a significant disability. As Sabah grew, her parents faced the unique challenges of nurturing her dreams for a fulfilling life. Upon her graduation from high school, they recognized the need for a supportive environment where she could continue to develop essential life skills and maintain her community connections. This led to the creation of Tavon Learning Center, a place where Sabah and others like her could thrive.
Over the past fifteen years, Tavon Learning Center has expanded from serving just three members to over 80, providing a nurturing community that fosters friendships, happiness, and independence. The program focuses on active learning and goal-based initiatives, ensuring that each participant can work towards their personal aspirations.
