Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out Foundation
EIN: 47-3452515 · Johnstown, PA
Our Story
Founded by Taunia Oechslin, a courageous breast cancer fighter, the Girls Night Out initiative began as a heartfelt 'pay it forward' project. After her diagnosis at 36, Taunia dedicated her life to educating women about breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of early detection and access to quality treatment. The Annual Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out® event raises vital funds for the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center at Windber Medical Center, ensuring that every woman in the community receives the care she deserves.
Impact
To date, the foundation has raised and donated over $1.45 million to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, providing cutting-edge care for uninsured and under-insured women in Windber, PA.
Why Donate?
With a goal of raising $40,000—just $1 for each of the 40,000 women who die from breast cancer annually—donations directly support breast cancer awareness and treatment initiatives in the community.
