Tau Beta Association

Our Story

Founded in 1901, the Tau Beta Association has a rich history of promoting charitable and philanthropic projects in Southeastern Michigan. Originally focused on tuberculosis treatment, the organization has evolved to support various causes, including The Hamtramck Community House and Tau Beta Camp for children. In 2004, a partnership with The Children’s Center of Detroit was established to concentrate volunteer and fundraising efforts on at-risk children and families.

Through its partnership with The Children’s Center, the Tau Beta Association has positively impacted the lives of thousands of at-risk children and families in Detroit, focusing on their mental and emotional well-being.
