Our Story

Founded in 2008 by compassionate members of Talbot County faith communities, Talbot Interfaith Shelter began as a rotating homeless shelter during the cold months, serving five individuals at a time. In 2014, the organization expanded its mission by opening Easton’s Promise, a year-round shelter facility, and launched the S4 Program (Shelter, Stability, Support, Success) to provide comprehensive case management, educational programming, and subsidized transitional housing. In 2022, a second shelter was established to support single men and women.
