Take Care of Home is a nonprofit organization founded by Demisew Getaneh, who was inspired by a visit to his childhood school in Ethiopia. After witnessing the lack of progress in his old school, Demisew realized the profound impact that even small donations could have on education. This sparked a movement dedicated to supporting underfunded public schools in rural Ethiopia, focusing on building classrooms and providing essential resources for the most disadvantaged communities.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, Take Care of Home has made significant strides in improving educational opportunities. With the support of over 800 donors, the organization has built 48 classrooms across nine schools, directly impacting over 4,800 students. Additionally, it has constructed 28 homes for underserved families, provided school lunches and tuition for low-income students, and distributed thousands of notebooks and school supplies.
