Take A Vet Fishing (TAVF) began in 2007 with a simple mission: to engage and provide fellowship to veterans in Connecticut. Starting with just three events, TAVF has grown significantly, fueled by the goodwill of local residents. Officially incorporated in 2018 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, TAVF continues to fill an essential need for disabled and recovering veterans through community outreach and support.
TAVF offers veterans a complete package free of charge, including transportation, equipment, food, and beverages. These fishing outings and activities promote joy and peace among veterans facing various challenges.
