About Tails of Hope Sanctuary

Tails of Hope was founded in 2000 by Linda Junkins-Smith, who answered a call for help when a young dog named Samuel needed a foster home after being hit by a car. Since then, Tails of Hope has rescued thousands of dogs and cats from certain death, placing them into loving forever homes. In 2015, Megan Powers launched Good Old Tails, focusing on senior animals often left behind. With new co-directors Sue Hempen and Kelly Gillis, Tails of Hope has embraced a mission centered on spay and neuter initiatives, fundraising for shelters, humane education, and animal advocacy.
