Our Story

Founded in 1990 by dedicated volunteers from the Sassafras Audubon Society, Sycamore Land Trust is committed to protecting land and restoring habitats in Southern Indiana. Over the years, the organization has successfully safeguarded over 11,592 acres across 144 properties, fostering a deep connection between people and nature.

Impact

In 2022, significant restoration projects were completed, including wetland construction and habitat restoration, enhancing biodiversity and mitigating flooding. With over 10,000 acres protected, Sycamore Land Trust exemplifies a strong commitment to land conservation and community engagement.
